Job Description Summary

Customer facing staff responsible for winning business in Patient Care Solutions. Jobs at this level operate with some autonomy but are covered by well-defined Commercial policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability: typically annual volume, margin and compliance requirements. Responsible for Orders & Sales in Algeria Terroritory.

* Role based in Algiers

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Is accountable to achieve the quarterly and yearly Product/Solution /Operating Plan targets (Orders, Sales, Contribution Margin, for assigned product lines/ geographical area).

  • Is accountable for timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline and sales per the normal reporting cycles within the Product Business unit and Geographical Region.

  • Develop good long term customer relationships, and high customer satisfaction whilst utilizing to optimum level resources in the team and Company/GE businesses.

  • Understand market dynamics and competition to develop business opportunities in the geography. Provide ongoing feedback to management, Region and marketing.

  • Educate, coach and direct the differentiation (position, value proposition and key messages) of their product/solution within the indirect channel and end users.

  • Act as reference point to the Regional Sales Leaders/Zone account teams regarding differentiation of their products.

  • Drive the strategy for the given product ranges & continuously positions the value of their products within the relevant GEHC care areas/disease areas.

  • Know, interact and execute the strategy with Key Opinion Leaders in product relevant care areas;

  • maintain professional relations with key customers, academia, government & administrative bodies in order to ensure understanding of needs and that PCS product value proposition is differentiated in the minds of these key customer groups.

  • Nurture relationships with professional society stakeholders.

  • Supporting ICP on marketing plan with a contribution in building a strong relationship with KOL and clinical association for each segment among product portfolio.

  • Is accountable to ensure compliance and execution of the regional sales process. 

  • In conjunction with next level Regional Sales Leader or Zone Manager determine and drive ownership of order and configuration quality at the point of entry to ensure accuracy, configuration integrity and that all requirements are tied to documented customer inputs

  • Organize and conduct product demonstrations, sites visit and follow up.

  • Prepare and co-ordinate the tender response and validate the tender documentation in collaboration with territory manager.

  • Communicate effectively with members of sales/marketing/service team to maximize all sales potential and communicates leads to relevant colleagues.

  • Ensures knowledge of and compliance with Company policies and quality processes

  • Ensure rigorous follow up on cash collection along with Finance/ Cash Teams

Required Qualifications

  • Education to Bachelor Degree level. Experienced in Sales / Marketing in progressive leadership positions within the Healthcare industry with in-depth knowledge of healthcare market and decision makers of Anesthesia, Intensive Care & Monitoring market segments

  • Demonstrated business management and resource allocation skills including business plan development

  • Strong knowledge of Patient Care Solutions products

  • Leadership skills, team building skills. Strong business acumen; financial and organizational skills

  • Advanced negotiation, problem solving and influencing skills

  • High level presentation and interpersonal skills; able to communicate and present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact that builds effective strategic relationships

  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport, collaboration and influence at all levels within an organization

  • Act as inspirational leader with optimism, highly approachable and humble

  • Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, while maintaining a forward-thinking and customer-first attitude

  • Mobility throughout Algeria regions is required.

Desired Characteristics

  • 7 years experience in the required clinical area ( Anesthesia, Respiratory & Monitoring Care Areas are a must)

  • Technical expertise in modality

  • Selling skills

  • Negotiating skills and ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Communication skills, Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills and strong collaboration skills

  • Fluent French/ good English

  • Knowledge of marketplace

  • Appreciation of business environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

One GEHC teamwork: Work with the team activities to ensure retention across the zone, recognizing success, sharing best practices, providing exposure to people within the team with senior leaders within the region, products and modalities. Act as a role model for collaborative mindset across functions.

Educates account team members on their product/service/solution strategy and offerings. Facilitate effective communication; trustful collaboration within the Zone/Product matrix organization. Share and follow-up identified leads to other product lines within own accounts and or One GEHC accounts.

The Regional Sales Leader act as a primary product customer point of contact in the sub region and represents the product/product range in case of multi-product projects and cross-P& L business events.

Promotion Compliance : Adhere to and uphold highest standards of promotion compliance to relevant international and local Regulatory and GE Healthcare Promotional Codes Adhere to all applicable GE and GE Healthcare promotion compliance policies, codes and training requirements. Identify and report any quality or compliance promotion concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
