This role is onsite 5 days a week in Fremont, CA

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Representative to expand our local restaurant network across the Bay Area, CA. You will be responsible for the entire sales cycle—from identifying and contacting renowned local eateries, to onboarding and nurturing sustainable partnerships.

What you will do:.

  • Identify & Engage: Proactively discover and reach out to well-known local restaurants, introducing them to our restaurant‑to‑go platform (FBW).
  • Demonstrate & Educate: Set up and deliver platform demos that clearly demonstrate how our solution benefits restaurant owners and decision-makers.
  • Acquire & Onboard: Manage the full sales journey from initial contact to contract signing and seamless onboarding of new restaurant partners.
  • Expand food vendor categories: Secure partnerships with specialty providers (e.g., bakeries, local restaurants) to diversify marketplace offerings 
  • Cultivate Partnerships: Maintain mutually beneficial relationships with restaurant partners, aligning growth strategies to achieve combined success.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Collaborate with restaurant owners and internal marketing teams to develop tailored promotions and expand revenue opportunities.
  • Feedback Loop: Capture restaurant feedback and relay insights to ensure continuous improvement of the platform in line with vendor’s needs.

Must have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of direct business development or sales experience
  • Due to the nature of the business, bilingual applicants preferred: Korean/Vietnamese/Chinese and English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze data and conduct market research to make data-informed decisions

Nice to have:

  • Experience with a marketplace business model (sided platforms)
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and common operational challenges for restaurants
  • Experience working with diverse types of food businesses (e.g., fine dining, quick service, caterers, grocery, ghost kitchens)
  • Experience in online marketing and content creation.

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $68,640 - $72,000
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits 
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
