Job Description
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for delivering budgeted sales revenue across their allocated Western Australian territory, with a strong focus on the Perth metro area and surrounding regional centres.
This includes the Petrol & Convenience (P&C), Independent Grocery, Health, and non-traditional retail channels. The role is focused on both strengthening existing customer relationships and driving new business growth through strategic acquisition and effective onboarding.
You will…
- Achieve monthly performance metrics including distribution, NPD penetration, and in-store visibility.
- Develop and implement campaigns and promotions with key MSO customers, aligning activity with internal priorities and customer strategies.
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities of scale.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Logistics to ensure seamless execution of plans.
- Champion brand values and cultural consistency across all customer touchpoints.
- Analyse performance results and market insights to continuously refine territory strategies.
- Contribute innovative, creative growth ideas that challenge the status quo.
- Deliver revenue, margin, and contribution targets within your territory.
You have…
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or a related field (desirable).
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in FMCG business development.
- Proven track record of developing, pitching, and winning new business.
