What you’ll do

As a Business Development Manager, you will identify opportunities for all Vodafone products through outbound calling, social selling (with a Social Selling Index of 70%+) and following up on marketing campaigns and inbound leads as appropriate to the sales strategy, with a 30% conversion rate. This process will involve engaging with customers’ buying centres via the telephone and digitally. You will provide continuous support to clients to identify sales-ready opportunities, with a deep understanding of prospects’ business drivers and how Vodafone can bring value to them. 

 

You will be working within the Irish market and will be responsible for conducting pre-call research in order to build 3x pipeline coverage on a monthly basis, ensuring that opportunities are followed up and do not become stuck or stale during the sales cycle.

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Devise and own a plan that supports the overall “Win” section of our SME Champion Strategy within Vodafone Ireland
  • Develop/plan your sales strategy
  • Identify & qualify Sales opportunities.  Ownership of the full sales lifecycle from Qualify to Closed  
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities within Ireland, build & manage Sales pipeline to ensure a minimum of 4x Sales target.  
  • Manage multiple, concurrent deal cycles, while maintaining accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data
  • Provide support for marketing activities and events
  • Facilitating discovery sessions with clients to gain appreciation for their environment and challenges
  • Assessing customers’ needs and explaining how Vodafone can satisfy those needs
  • Working with internal stakeholders to respond to tender requests, gathering estimates, co-ordinate response streams and actively develop relationships with prospect procurement departments
  • Quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, navigating through the procurement process, and completing contracts
  • Work collaboratively to ensure revenue targets are delivered.
  • Reporting sales performance, and sales pipeline to your line manager
  • Work on Marketing-led initiatives to focus on key growth areas  

Who you are

  • A passion for working with clients in a high-quality service driven industry
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • A "can-do" attitude, drive and motivation to achieve their best potential and performance overall
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales and project dynamics
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to present to all organization level
  • Proven track record of delivering against targets (quarterly and annually)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a solutions-based approach
  • A dynamic and flexible approach, as well as the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback where required 
  • Excellent service issue / complaint resolution skills
  • Contribution to business growth and service improvements
