As part of Business Development—working at the intersection of all departments—you will manage and grow collaborations with institutional and governmental customers while uncovering new opportunities and applications. You’ll explore use cases, build trusted partnerships, and open doors to future projects.
At the same time, you’ll expand our commercial reach by establishing go-to-market channels and partnerships for scalable B2B data sales. Acting as an intrapreneur, you’ll take ideas from discovery to business case to execution—shaping OroraTech’s growth strategy along the way.
Managing and expanding collaborations with institutional and governmental customers, while identifying new opportunities in this segment
Exploring and validating new use cases, focusing on applications of high relevance for public stakeholders
Building and maintaining trusted partnerships with customers, partners, and other key stakeholders
Developing go-to-market channels and partnerships to scale our B2B data sales activities
Creating business cases and business plans, including go-to-market strategies, from initial idea to implementation
Conducting market and competitor analysis to ensure our offerings remain relevant and competitive
Working closely with sales, marketing, product, and tech teams to align business development with company-wide goals and strategy
Drafting and submitting proposals, bids and pitches - both internal and external
Master’s degree in business administration or Master’s degree in relevant tech fields with equivalent practical experience in business environments
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in fast-paced and demanding environments
Proficiency in technology and Earth observation based business modeling
Familiarity with managing institutional contracts, particularly in climate or data-driven markets
Experience in establishing new collaborations with customers and industry partners
Analytical and entrepreneurial mindset, adept at quickly understanding new technologies and topics
Self-starter, able to work independently under tight deadlines in a start-up environment
Good listening ability to take up customer feedback efficiently
Ability to present and pitch new business use cases in any setting
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact successfully across cultures
Fluent in German and English (spoken and written). Additional languages are appreciated
