As a Business Development Manager, you will be pivotal in expanding our footprint within our ICP, focusing on retail, cosmetics, and consumer-facing sectors. By targeting and winning our top prospects, you will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a smooth and enriching customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Account Planning & Sales:


  • Identify top prospects and craft detailed engagement/account plans.
  • Prospect and build a sales pipeline through an outbound mix of cold calling, social, email, and in-person events 
  • Work closely with marketing to execute key pipeline generation events 
  • Win new strategic accounts and ensure successful onboarding of new SCM logos.


Engagement & Collaboration


  • Design thought leadership initiatives and engagement plans for key decision-makers.
  • Foster collaboration with the marketing, solutions teams, and other business functions to drive outcomes across the customer journey
  • Work in unison with the CRO around opportunity management, ensuring accurate business forecasts.

Sales Process & Execution:

  • Implement the Zencargo playbook during discovery, demos, and workshops.
  • Host AS-IS & TO-BE workshops with the solutions team.
  • Utilise the MEDDIC framework to qualify and manage opportunities.
  • Manage tenders comprehensively, rallying your team for tailored and top-tier responses.
  • Manage mutual action plans with open opportunities in the pipeline and effectively identify and navigate deal risks 
  • Draft joint impact plans and ensure seamless transitions for successful ramp & implementation.

How We Measure Success:

  • Meet self-gen pipeline goals on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis 
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline with adequate coverage to quarterly quota 
  • Win a new strategic account for Zencargo 
  • Seamless onboarding of strategic customers
  • Ensure ramp & GP targets are being met with new logos 
  • Positive collaboration with peers on best practices
