Construction Sales Engineer - Low/Medium Voltage Switchgear
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid – with travel as needed)
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Sales Engineer to support and grow business relationships with contractors in the North Florida market, with a strong focus on Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear. This is a high-impact role for a motivated sales professional with deep industry knowledge, technical acumen, and a proven ability to drive results in the construction channel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distributor & Contractor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with electrical distributors and large electrical contractors to drive project wins and expand Siemens' presence in the construction channel.
- Market Development: Maintain a strong, consistent presence in the Jacksonville metro and greater North Florida area, promoting Siemens’ power distribution solutions and identifying new business opportunities.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Build and manage a healthy pipeline through strategic prospecting, lead follow-up, and management of key accounts.
- Strategic Account Planning: Develop account plans for key customers with a focus on long-term growth, revenue retention, and customer satisfaction.
- Technical Expertise & Support: Act as a subject matter expert for Siemens’ portfolio, including:
- Panelboards, Switchboards, Lighting Panels
- Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear
- Busway, MCCs, Safety Switches
- Molded Case Circuit Breakers, IEC/NEMA Control, and Residential Products
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with senior decision-makers at key contractor and distributor accounts.
- Channel Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, channel partners, and solution providers to deliver coordinated sales strategies and customer support.
You will win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is strongly desired, although a combination of education (HS Diploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement) and related work experience will also be considered.
- 3+ years sales or business development within the Low/Medium Voltage power distribution market OR 5+ years sales or business development within the Low/Medium Voltage power distribution market
- 3+ years of sales experience with LV/MV power distribution product line OR 5+ years sales or business development within the Low/Medium Voltage power distribution market
- Ability to travel 15% of the time.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering / BS in Business or similar.
- 3+ years of sales experience with LV/MV power distribution product line.
- Familiarity with CRM systems like SieSales for tracking opportunities and forecasting.
- Experience developing and leading sales capture teams, including coordinating cross-functional resources to pursue and secure complex project opportunities.

The pay range for this position is $72,400 - $124,100 and is eligible for Sales Incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
