This role will execute the objectives set by the organization for the SCM operation team.  Focusing on delivering superior customer experience and drive profitability of the business handled.

  • Manage and develop the relationship with the client in line with Maersk strategy
  • Develop client business plans that encompass ocean and Logistics & Services products
  • Define value propositions and work closely with Maersk functions to grow revenue across products
  • Map out where the control sits for each specific product for each client
  • Full client stakeholder mapping should be completed for all clients, including their role and degree of influence in decision making
  • Truly understand the client’s business and the ‘needs behind the needs’
  • Dynamically maintain an overview of what ocean and Logistics & Services the client has a current and/or potential need for, who are they contracted to and what is contract period. Position Maersk to enable all opportunities to expand the scope of our business
  • Plan, prepare, manage, and negotiate all business opportunities in scope
  • Liaise with non-control ocean clients and their 3PL’s to maximize volumes and regularly coordinate with contract owners. Identify and share any information which contributes towards sales
  • Professionally plan, execute, and input to SFDC client meetings and proactive phone calls in accordance with set targets and agreed process
  • Support the overall customer experience and support global value proposition
  • Cooperate with all Maersk functions, working as one-team, with aligned goals. Including Product organization, Customer service/delivery teams and Sales Support
  • Ensure successful business onboarding and contract compliance
  • Responsibility for both contractual sales control and non-control which will vary from client to client, and for different products and services within the same client
  • Position Maersk for access to the right stakeholders, influencers and decision makers throughout the customer organisation
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships. Strive to expand the scope of personal client contacts across all relevant and multiple functions and departments in the client
  • Identify individuals in the client where a relationship should be developed/maintained by other relevant colleagues from any function and at any level within Maersk
  • Be consultative, a problem solver and a ‘connector’ between the client and Maersk, leveraging the expertise of our wider organisation
  • Match our products to the client’s needs, providing sustainable transport and logistics solutions and value adding services for which we can profitably and legally be paid for
  • Be hungry for growth with a positive and constructive mindset and attitude
