The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly accomplished and motivated Global Business Development Director with extensive experience in the healthcare and life sciences industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying, cultivating, and closing strategic partnerships and driving significant revenue growth in both domestic and international markets.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of global business development strategies to expand market share and achieve revenue targets
- Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships and alliances with a diverse range of companies, including healthcare providers, payers, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and tech companies
- Drive business growth through new initiatives, market assessments, financial modeling, and the creation of viable business cases
- Manage complex negotiations and contract agreements to ensure favorable outcomes for all parties involved
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product management, R&D, legal, finance) to align business development initiatives with overall company objectives
Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and internal promotion - Represent the company at domestic and international industry events, networking with key opinion leaders and executives
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes to identify new growth opportunities and refine strategies
Qualifications & Skills:
- 20+ years of experience in business development and strategic partnerships within the healthcare and life sciences sectors
- Demonstrated success in driving large-scale revenue and profit gains, including scaling businesses from scratch
- Strong expertise in various areas of healthcare technology, such as Digital Health, Cloud, IoT, Data, AI/ML, Telehealth, Telemedicine, Wearables, Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), and Digital Therapies (DTx)
- Extensive experience in international markets, particularly APAC and Middle East
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with founders, investors, clinicians, and technology and healthcare executives
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to define business models, conduct due diligence, and evaluate investment opportunities
- Experience with P&L management and creating financial business cases
- Ability to work in both structured and dynamic environments
- MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field preferred
