The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from sales desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in Fixed Income Sales activities, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Job Purpose:
- C9 level role within the Fixed Income Cash Sales Middle Office in Japan who supports Cash Fixed Income Sales activities (Rates, Credit, Muni, Mortgage)
- The team is based across Tokyo and Okinawa and has global exposure
- Handle multiple BAU tasks at a time; ensure trades are booked correctly, ensure trade confirmations are sent timely, work with our clients and business acting as point of contact to resolve any queries in collaboration with regional / global and internal/ external stakeholders
- Recommend solutions to resolve complex issues
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s/University degree
- Relevant experience in Fixed Income or Equity Cash Sales Middle Office, or Fixed Income Settlement Operations (preferred)
- Demonstrated comprehension of Fixed Income (preferred)
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
- Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise, demonstrated success interacting with stakeholders in the business as well as the Operations, and Technologies
- Strong risk management and control mindset
- Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
- Japanese: native or business level for both writing and speaking where client service can be provided
- English: business level
