Siemens Government Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Solutions Specialist to join our Knowledge Works team. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is passionate about delivering innovative data intelligence solutions. You will play a key role in supporting the sales process by providing deep product knowledge, technical guidance, and strategic consulting for Altair’s Knowledge Works platform—which includes data preparation, predictive analytics, and data visualization tools.
As a Solutions Specialist, you will engage directly with prospective and existing clients, assisting with discovery sessions, demos, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities. You’ll help articulate the business value of Knowledge Works, ensuring a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales success.
Responsibilities:
•Co-lead discovery sessions with sales representatives to understand customer challenges and objectives.
•Participate in client workshops, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
•Provide pre- and post-sales support for technically complex sales opportunities.
•Deliver compelling presentations that convey Altair’s Knowledge Works value proposition to both technical and business audiences.
•Assist with client installations and technical configurations as needed.
•Build trusted advisor relationships with key customer stakeholders, including executives and technical users.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Altair’s products, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
•Translate customer needs into tailored solution proposals that clearly communicate both immediate and long-term business value.
•Collaborate closely with product, sales, marketing, and services teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•2+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales or solutions consulting role, specifically in data preparation, data mining, machine learning, AI, or Big Data analytics.
•Proven pre-sales or consulting experience with enterprise application software.
•Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with clients, including executives and technical users.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent presentation abilities.
•Proven ability to translate business needs into valuable technical solutions.
•Technical expertise in business intelligence, data intelligence, or predictive analytics.
•Experience with data mining, manipulation, and analytics using relevant tools and platforms.
•Strong analytical orientation and a strategic problem-solving mindset.
•Proven adaptability to new technologies and tools.
•Familiarity with sales methodologies, processes, and disciplines.
•Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
•Comfortable collaborating with developers, business analysts, end users, and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous experience working with government, defense, or regulated industries is a plus.
•Understanding of Big Data challenges and experience with machine learning; familiarity with cloud infrastructure is a plus.
Travel:
•Willingness and able to travel up to 25% - 35% annually.
Security Clearance:
•Candidate must be US citizen and have the ability to obtain and/or maintain a US federal agency security clearance upon hire

here.The pay range for this position is $0.00 - $120,000.00 annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
