Job Description

Support new and existing clients on field of Category, Space and Assortment Management in order to achieve the planned revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction. Proactively search for new clients and opportunities on the market focusing on FMCG but also other industries where organized trade is present. Deliver projects, implementations and educations satisfying high quality standards. Partner with Global Practice Area Expert leaders to define and execute the Practice Area strategies. Drive local prospecting and lead generation in support of global strategies, and in coordination with local SA&I Business Partners. Work with SA&I Business Partner to provide expertise and proposal support on solutions acting as local industry leader in driving domain expertise and thought leadership. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Independently drive sales and deliver Assortment and Space Optimization services by accurately assessing client needs and proactively offering Category Management solutions to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop business strategies to meet team objectives, both financial and commercial.
  • Cultivate client relationships by managing service levels and customer satisfaction, addressing client concerns and inquiries, and providing on-site and off-site consultancy.
  • Coordinate Category Management projects with other departments, ensuring professional and clear communication with clients.
  • Identify market opportunities by analyzing category trends and customer evolution, making improvement suggestions, and gathering client requirements from commercial teams.
  • Educate clients on NIQ Assortment & Merchandising software solutions, organizing workshops to enhance client capabilities.
  • Execute the Assortment & Merchandising business plan, proactively seeking market opportunities, suggesting improvements, and gathering client requirements.
  • Contribute to sales plans and budget preparation for the respective market.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and technical knowledge enhancement related to Assortment & Merchandising tools and services.
  • Utilize NIQ processes and tools to provide proactive, integrated analysis for customers, making recommendations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with the SA&I Team to unlock sales opportunities and deploy business plans, while working with other NIQ departments at local and regional levels.
  • Ensure compliance with financial discipline rules and other reporting requirements using appropriate NIQ tools.

  • Financial and business acumen.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Eager to work with numbers and have quantitative analysis skills / background.

Role Requirements (E=essential, P=preferred):

E - Bachelor degree in business management, economics, behavioral sciences, statistics, or related area

P - Masters degree in an above mentioned field

P - 2+ years previous experience in CatMan, Space planning

P - Broad industry knowledge

E - Strong communication skills

E - Competent negotiator with strong sales & influencing skills

E - Strong verbal and written skills

E - Strong analytical - statistical - logic skills

E - Exceptional ability for market / category analysis

E - Excellent presentation skills

P - Accuracy and attention to detail

E - Intellectual curiosity and persistence to find answers to questions

E - Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects in a fast paced business environment
