As our first dedicated sales hire, you’ll have a seat at the table with decision-makers and the freedom to build, shape, and grow the sales function. You’ll be the driving force behind our expansion into new markets, identifying and converting leads into long-term clients. If you’re a hunter with a passion for prospecting, a knack for building relationships, and a background in payroll or HR sales, this is your moment. What You’ll Do: Prospect & Generate Leads: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across untapped markets. Own the Sales Cycle: From cold outreach to closing deals, you’ll manage the full sales process. Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the executive team to shape go-to-market strategies. Build Relationships: Develop trust with HR leaders, CFOs, and business owners. Create Sales Infrastructure: Help define sales processes, CRM usage, and performance metrics. Represent the Brand: Be the face of TalentPro at industry events, webinars, tradeshows, and client meetings. What We’re Looking For: 3+ years of B2B sales experience in payroll, HR services, or HCM technology. Proven track record of new business development and exceeding sales targets. A proactive self-starter - you thrive on finding and winning new business. Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Experience with CRM tools and sales automation. Ability to travel up to 25% annually. Bonus Qualifications: Experience launching or scaling a sales function within a startup or high-growth division. Familiarity with consultative or solution-based selling methodologies. Agriculture or manufacturing industry experience. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Why Join Us? Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target once met is $102,500 to $177,500. Remote Eligibility: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at a Pinion office or attendance at offsites, as requested/required by the firm and/or your supervisor.
