Purpose of the Role  

Partnering with our team of sales professionals, you’ll diagnose key business growth drivers, provide change management support for strategic initiatives and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies driving overall P&L results in the US Sales Organization. Gross revenue is NA Sales is approximately $6 billion annually.   

The Sales Initiatives Manager will have responsibility for overseeing key focus areas of training and deployment in their market. Learning and development will be supported by executing new initiative launches and conducting targeted coaching sessions. Deployment responsibilities will be focused on providing analysis and insights that drive labor deployment productivity in the most cost-effective manner.  

Main Responsibilities   

  • Support the retail markets in continuing to focus on key revenue driving activities in high impact stores (sell, audit, coach, etc.) - 35%  
  • Focus on field training and improvement to identify and correct substandard Sales Service Representative performance in the market - 25%  
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Strategy and Operations Team to administer and deliver key retail initiatives, technology rollouts, and other new strategies - 20%  
  • As the labor expert, help conduct MOD Reviews and provide strategic analysis and opportunity recommendations within the market to improve efficiencies with in-store labor hours. Additional responsibilities include deployment support to cover Retail Merchandising Supervisor vacations. - 20%  

How you will contribute

You will:  

  • Manage, develop, and motivate the team and work closely with the sales capability team to ensure delivery of training to the team.  
  • Create and manage an annual business unit plan to deliver agreed channel revenue KPI’s and targets and provide reporting as required.  
  • Manage winning customer business relationships that facilitate “best in industry” execution of our categories.  
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including the account team, category, activation team, sales capability, and customer finance to provide the optimum return across your region.  
  • Fully understand category and insights knowledge, coaching the team in the use of category tools to engage and influence customers to make informed decisions that will grow our categories and deliver our annual plan.

More about this role

Education / Certifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Job specific requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Sales experience required 
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful strategies in a Sales organization 
  • Keen understanding of Sales Planning, Business Processes and Systems 
  • Strong knowledge and expertise of retail business processes 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

The base salary range for this position is $77,300 to $106,100; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
