Job Description

The Sales Manager Surgical Visualization & Guidance GE Healthcare Japan will be responsible for leading and managing a dedicated team to drive sales growth in Japan. We are looking for an experienced sales manager with good communication abilities in both Japanese and English and experienced in medical/surgical equipment sales in Japan.

GE Healthcare Surgical Visualization & Guidance, also known as BK medical, is a market leading intraoperative ultrasound company with a global footprint, providing customers with specialized real-time imaging guidance solutions for neurosurgery, urologic surgery, HPB surgery and more. Our solutions are tailored to enabling faster, real-time intraoperative imaging for surgical applications and are informed by clinical and procedural needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales activities and coordinate with other internal departments to achieve sales objectives.

  • Lead and manage a team of direct sales force composed of 4 regional sales specialists. Track progress and analyse trends of ongoing sales opportunities to generate accurate orders and sales forecasts.

  • Work with VP Sales APAC and Clinical & Business Development team to develop key strategies to ensure revenues growth for the current portfolio.

  • Participate in multiple tradeshows, workshops, live demos, conferences specific to therapeutic segments to increase intraoperative active imaging awareness and generate business leads.

  • In collaboration with Clinical and Business Development team, to convert into sales, potential new procedures opportunities.

  • As the “owner” of the sales revenues, the Sales Manager will have to often interact with sales operations team to track progress of ongoing sales and revenues.

  • Work in cooperation with Clinical specialists’ team to coordinate marketing events, live demonstrations and all sales activities.

  • Work with VP Sales APAC to review weekly business reports, orders and sales forecasts, as well as detailed sales pipeline.

  • Collaborate with APAC Marketing team on new products strategic planning for Japan.

  • Monitor and report on Market & Competitive Intelligence trends and activities.

  • Participate in specific therapeutic segments regional and international calls with Global Marketing.

  • Support VP Sales APAC with country specific reports/presentations decks on activities, revenues, market trends and feedback.

  • Responsible for ensuring the team successfully completes all companywide trainings in a timely manner.

  • Enforce performance and company’s work ethics and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in surgical devices/equipment sales is preferred.

  • 5-7 years of experience in a direct sales role with 2 or 3 years of regional or country sales management.

  • Experience in medical device field is mandatory.

  • Experience in operating theatre clinical settings is preferred.

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams, customers and regional team.

  • English speaking is mandatory.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of sales specialists.

  • Ability to develop and execute on a sales plan linked to business goals.

  • Microsoft Office with an emphasis in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and eventually Sales Force.

  • Demonstrated complex problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to coach and mentor others.

  • Ability to travel extensively in the country.
