Your role:

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for managing and developing Elanco portfolio of assigned accounts, driving sales, and strengthening commercial relationships through remote interactions. This role will work closely with the field sales team to ensure a seamless and coordinated customer experience, optimizing sales opportunities and customer support. Your responsibilities:

Customer Focused Increase Product Demand and Delivery of Business Results

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs and offering Elanco solutions.

  • Become a knowledgeable resource on Elanco's diverse product portfolio, effectively communicating their benefits and value to customers. Provide detailed product information, resolve inquiries, and effectively manage objections.

  • Identify new sales opportunities within assigned accounts and proactively present Elanco products and services. It also must carry out prospecting actions´ in the market.

  • Implement the Elanco commercial strategy to achieve  individual and team sales targets.

  • Manage Pet Health Accounts with remote activities

  • Cultivate customer relationship and improve customer experience in a virtual environment

  • Increase Elanco products demand realization in Pet Health market and be responsible for the sell out to target customers.

  • Actively coordinate with Field Sales Representatives to plan account strategies, share relevant information, and ensure that interactions (phone calls and in-person visits) complement each other and maximize customer impact.

  • Identify and assess customer needs. Uncover customers’ solvable problems and opportunities. Incorporate the Elanco product portfolio as part of the solution.

  • Administratively follow up of the sell-out (volumes) on customers

  • Ensure a commercial link with the teams (key account managers/sales representatives and regional directors/sales managers)

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and sales activities in Elanco's CRM system.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with Elanco's product portfolio, market trends, and competitive landscape through ongoing training and self-study.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

Education/Experience:

  • Education background in Veterinary or Animal Science is a plus

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales within the Pharma or Animal Health Industry

  • Experience understanding customer needs and business drivers and using this knowledge to develop sales

SPECIFIC SKILLS

  • Market Knowledge: Basic understanding of market dynamics and specificities relevant to the animal health sector.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the regulatory environment specific to the veterinary industry, or a strong willingness to learn quickly.

  • Negotiation Techniques: Basic knowledge of negotiation principles and a desire to develop advanced negotiation skills.

  • Digital Proficiency: Proficiency in essential computer tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Language: Professional English is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Located in Spain - Madrid. Travel required occasionally within Iberia up to 10%.

  • Flexible work arrangement: 3 days at the office in Madrid and 2 days working from home.
