Since 2009, JSC "Deutsche Bank DBU" (Deutsche Bank Ukraine) operates as corporate bank in Ukraine, subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG, and offers a full range of corporate banking products and services to its clients, i.e. subsidiaries of multinational companies and top tier local corporates.

We are looking for Associate Trader

The Trader will manage foreign exchange operations, executing trades on behalf of the bank and its clients.

This role demands strong market insights, risk management acumen, and compliance with NBU regulation and internal policies.

The trader will contribute to P&L, liquidity management, pricing strategies.

Your key responsibilities

  • Pricing, trading and risk managing the Ukraine FX book

  • Execute spot, forward, and swap FX transactions across local and major currencies

  • Responsible for maintaining the bank’s FX position and providing FX liquidity

  • Analyzing market structure and the opportunities and threats there-in

  • Adherence to risk limits assigned to desk and regulatory controls

  • Interacting with clients, in collaboration with sales and coverage, and internal stakeholders in other functions to increase market transparency and to generate new business

  • Building a sustainable business and market share

  • Compliance with local, global and internal regulations, conduct standards and controls and improve existing control & conduct framework

  • Provide pricing and execution support to corporate clients

  • Develop, regularly update and implement the FX strategy for the local subsidiary

  • Participate in system upgrades and automation initiatives for trading platform

  • Drive the development and implementation of new products

  • Monitor global macroeconomic indicators, geopolitical developments and central bank policies

  • Adhering to all internal policies and external/regulatory frameworks

  • Recording transactions and at times preparing related statistical reports

  • Maintaining a good knowledge of trading strategies to be measured against the relevant performance targets set by the division

  • Responsibility for meeting set P/L targets, actively managing their trading positions within the authorized trading/risk limits, monitoring Limit Utilization and for ensuring accurate trade capture in line with applicable policies.

Your skills and experience

  • Min. 3 years of banking industry experience, including employment in a major Ukrainian / International financial institution

  • Educated to a Bachelor or Master degree level

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of FX and the broader macro-economic environment

  • Solid awareness of compliance, non-financial and business risks

  • Deep knowledge of client and regulatory landscape in Ukraine

  • Experience with building and managing client relationships

  • Solid presentation and communication skills, written and verbal

  • Native-level proficiency in Ukrainian and professional-level proficiency in English.
