This role collaborates directly with project team members and key internal stakeholders to scope out projects and requirements related to Salesforce CPQ. This is a highly visible role collaborating directly with colleagues in the US. This role involves understanding business needs, designing, configuring and testing Salesforce CPQ. Must be able to create and understand user stories, code reviews, SOW, and lead discovery meetings, configuration, testing, migration and integration support of the CPQ product. This role is instrumental in the success of our go-to-market and revenue functions.
Here's a closer look at this key role:
- Consult with business users to identify current operating procedures, create process flow documents, and translate those procedures into frictionless system requirements.
- Work with internal stakeholders to recommend process enhancements and gain acceptance of proposed system design.
- Serve as the CPQ & related systems expert, providing best practices and oversight of system architecture to ensure scalable processes.
- Analyze, design, and configure software to support complex pricing, quoting, and contract management processes in alignment with business goals.
- Establish and implement best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.
- Responsible for supporting the maintenance of the functional areas of data management, dashboards, reports, etc as well as maintaining and troubleshooting existing configurations and development.
- Salesforce CPQ expert and key contributor in projects, including architecture, development, configuration, UAT, data migration and governance.
- Provide day-to-day end-user support for CPQ; assist with documentation of complex system requirements and related user processes.
- Prepare documentation including Requirements and Design documents, Configuration Workbooks, Test Cases other documentation as required through the project lifecycle
- Monitor project milestones and communicate project progress to leadership.
- Research and communicate changes in upcoming versions of Salesforce CPQ and other integrated applications.
- Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic business issues involving CRM and business operations, act in a consultative capacity to ensure Salesforce CPQ optimization.
- Design, develop and maintain integration/synchronization programs to seamlessly synchronize data between Core Business Applications and Salesforce CPQ.
- Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load tools
- Contribute and assist with other company/department projects and initiatives unrelated to Salesforce administration.
What You'll Need:
- Salesforce Administrator certification - Required
- Salesforce CPQ Administrator certification is preferred
- 6+ years hands-on experience (or equivalent knowledge) functioning as a Salesforce CPQ administrator; equivalent knowledge typically gained thru leading implementation and hyper-care support of CPQ.
- Experience in the customization, optimization, and configuration of complex automations related to Salesforce CPQ & related modules
- Self-starter who is able to identify friction points between systems and process, and work cross-functionally to optimize end user experience.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, innovation, or problem-solving.
- Proven ability to independently perform discovery, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation and updating as it relates to software and system administration.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to solve complex problems for the business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to design and optimize business processes across systems
