As a customer advisor or account executive in key account management, you will not only successfully bring your sales and consulting expertise into play. Your industry insights also enable you to act on an equal footing with top decision-makers and lay the foundation for AI and IT transformation.

Your profile:

 

  • Completed university degree and many years of experience in (IT) solution sales or consulting. With focus on: Establishing and expanding sustainable relationships with decision-makers in the manufacturing industry up to CxO level
  • Up-to-date IT market knowledge and business argumentation strength, supported by appropriate conceptual know-how (TCO, ROI and business value)
  • Ideally professional experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience in coordinating different resources within a client project
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, combined with a confident, charismatic appearance
  • High willingness to travel within Germany and flexibility in terms of working hours

Location:

Baden-Würtemberg preferred. Munich or Frankfurt a.M. to be considered.

 

In line with our Flexible Work approach, for roles at Microsoft Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, we recommend spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site. The specific days to work from the office or at the customer will be defined in agreement between the employee and their manager.

Key Account Advisory at Microsoft

 

When advising a strategic customers, the expansion of the customer relationship into the various administrative and operational business units is of crucial importance. The goal: to optimally position our products, solutions and services and to sustainably expand sales and business relationships.

 

Central to your success in this position are your strategic sales focus, your very good understanding of the Cloud/AI and IT solutions market, your knowledge of customer and process requirements in the manufacturing industry and your close relationships with decision-makers. They are able to find their way around the very complex structures of the customer and represent our company according to its importance. To this end, you will be happy to respond to individual customer wishes and problems and develop effective solutions based on this. Identifying new business opportunities and dealing with forecasts and pipelines are a matter of course.

 

Your daily challenges:

  • You will develop and maintain long-term customer relationships with one strategic customers from the manufacturing industry and be responsible for product and service sales.
  • In addition, you will analyze strategies and markets of your customers, develop business plans and implement them in the interests of high customer satisfaction and the fulfillment of sales targets.
  • You will unerringly identify opportunities and set priorities accordingly.
  • You will coordinate all necessary internal and external resources (specialists, partners, etc.) and lead this virtual team with palpable passion.
