Position title: Senior Business Development Representative

Job purpose:

To manage assigned target accounts, create new opportunities, and drive customers through the opportunity development process, engaging them in actionable next steps with the Transporeon sales team.

Main tasks:

  • Manage target accounts to create new opportunities.
  • Drive customers through the opportunity development process.
  • Develop and communicate provocative messaging to senior executives, conversing about supply chain and industry trends.
  • Collect and analyse customers’ financial information and business processes.
  • Qualify and validate inbound and outbound leads.
  • Identify project needs, budget, timelines, and business issues.
  • Market Transporeon product offerings via cold calling.
  • Overcome objections and communicate Transporeon’s value propositions.
  • Make product and service recommendations to customers.
  • Update contact details and notes in the CRM database.
  • Represent Transporeon at industry events.
  • Communicate effectively with sales management.
  • Participate in sales opportunity reviews and collaborate with Quota-bearing sales reps (QBSRs)
  • Handle projects with minimal direction.
  • Ensure quality and completeness of data in opportunity and account records.
  • Drive tactical planning of quarterly sales promotions.
  • Work with the marketing team to optimize lead qualification processes and coordinate email campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a pipeline of opportunities within target accounts.
  • Engage with senior executives to discuss industry trends and challenges.
  • Deliver compelling messaging to provoke action from potential customers.
  • Qualify leads for handoff to the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
  • Represent Transporeon at industry events and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with sales management and Quota-bearing sales reps (QBSRs)
  • Compile activity and forecast reports.
  • Direct leads to relevant sales teams.

Accountabilities:

  • Achieve targets for opportunity generation and bookings.
  • Maintain high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates in the CRM system.
  • Represent Transporeon professionally.
  • Successfully hand off qualified leads to the sales team.
  • Drive tactical planning of quarterly sales promotions.
  • Optimize lead qualification processes and coordinate email campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inside/outside sales, preferably in enterprise software.
  • Experience in supply chain or transportation operations is recommended.
  • Personable, outgoing, and able to initiate engaging conversations.
  • Proven track record of exceptional opportunity generation results.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively.
  • Ability to interact positively and productively with decision makers at all levels.
  • Knowledge of CRM software required; experience with Salesloft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Gong is a plus.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimal travel required.
