THE ROLE
As a Sales Finance Manager, you’ll be at the center of shaping the financial strategy for our global Go-To-Market (GTM) organization across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. Managing nearly $1B in OPEX, you’ll lead a high-impact team and provide executive-level insights that influence how we grow and scale. This is more than finance—it’s a front-row seat to the GTM engine of Pure Storage, where you’ll partner closely with leaders in Prague and Santa Clara, transforming complex data into clear stories that drive action.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own GTM OPEX Management: Oversee and optimize ~$1B in operating expenses across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, with a focus on headcount and commission planning.
- Deliver Strategic Insights: Present financial performance and forward-looking recommendations to senior executives, moving beyond numbers to shape decisions and outcomes.
- Enable Scalable Growth: Build and refine models, analytics, and forecasts that guide investment strategies and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Lead & Inspire a Team: Manage and develop a team of 10 finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
- Champion Process Excellence: Drive standardization, automation, and best practices to ensure data integrity, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance reporting impact.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong expertise in financial planning & analysis, including headcount modeling, OPEX management, and GTM-related commissions.
- Proven ability to turn financial data into compelling, executive-ready stories that influence business strategy.
- Experience leading and developing teams, with the ability to balance operational rigor and strategic vision.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as Tableau, Salesforce, Anaplan, NetSuite, or similar; SQL/database skills a plus.
- Collaborative communicator with excellent presentation skills, comfortable engaging with executives across global locations.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
